Awareness and Perceived Efficiency of Tagiri (Lagenaria breviflorus) among Poultry Farmers in Ido Local Government Area, Oyo State, Nigeria

The study investigated the awareness and perceived efficiency of Tagiri (Lagenaria breviflorus) among poultry farmers in Ido Local Government Area, Oyo State, Nigeria using data obtained from eighty well-structured questionnaires. result showed that 90.0% respondents were male, 60% had primary secondary education 68.8% practice intensive system management. also revealed 50.0% are aware antimicrobial property used to treat control bacterial infection, 46.6% it has antibacterial which suppresses growth their ability reproduce. It 93.1% Lagenaria breviflorus for medicinal purpose. In conclusion, was examined majority treating diseases. therefore recommended extension agents should further put more effort by sensitizing on benefits this plant healthy management since is effective disease, be adopted other livestock.
